Conference call
A conference call is a phone call in which three or more people are connected at the same time, usually by dialling into a shared conference room, or bridge.
How a conference call works
The phone system provides a conference room that participants dial into. Each caller is added to the room and hears everyone else. A PIN keeps the room private: callers must enter it before joining. Because anyone can join by phone, conference calls work for participants without an internet connection or a meeting app.
Conference calls in phone.systems™
In phone.systems™ a conference room is the Conference object in a call flow. You give it a name and, optionally, a PIN of up to four digits. Connect it to a phone number or an internal number, and everyone who calls that number joins the same room. A Notification object can send an email when someone joins. See call routing in phone.systems™.
